In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who finish the mission will obtain an special katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery."
